7 things!
I’ve was nominated for two awards and I’ve been negligent in getting to them. I am sorry.
The very very very dear Fay Moore nominated me for the Illuminating Blogger Award. Fay is a wonderful woman with a great blog and my thoughts are with her and her husband right now.
sabrinagarie.com has generously given me the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award . What a fun award that is; thank you very much.
Now I must tell you 7 things about myself.
I’m a tad OCD. I roll my t-shirts and colour code them. My first aid kit is alphabetised. My sheets are filed by room….OK you get the idea.
I love a horror movie. I am thrilled by being scared which is weird for a kid who had too many scares.
This morning I found a funnel web under a rock. I ran around in circles a few times flapping my arms until I realised I had flattened it with the rock. They really are this ugly
My nick name as a kid was Kitten.
I’m afraid of magpies. My son thinks this is hysterical.
I’ve been to Bhutan. It’s very lovely.
I was agoraphobic for a while.
.
I’m not going to hand out these award because I think you are all wonderful and deserving. Please feel free to grab them and run around your blog with them. I promise no flashing red lights will follow you with handcuffs – unless you want them to
Flashing is optional but recommended.

Congrats on your awards
As a physician (you, not me!), I can understand the need to be organised with your first aid kit, but I’m not so clear on why there is a bag of corn chips in there? Also, do the Aussies call light bulbs, light globes then? I’ve never heard of light globes before! (And I used to watch Neighbours and Home & Away ALL the time).
You’ve found my secret stash of corn chips. You must be silenced.
We call them bulbs here, but I lived in the US for a number of years and picked up very bad habits – like corn chips.
Do they still show Neighbours? It’s genuine Aussie.
Really? I lived in the US for four years, and the fact that they call them globes must have completely escaped me! (How did I manage?). I’m not sure if they still how Neighbours actually.
But they don’t have Neighbours in the US, so they are totally missing out.
You didn’t change a bulb in 4 years? I want that place. I go through so many of the nasty things.
you are now all the more interesting because of what you revealed
What a lovely thing to say
and true
Congratulations on the awards.
Mine consists of band-aids and nurofen. I need to add a bit of spice to mine- Ginger wine is first on the list!
I love your first aid kit. Corn chips, light globes (bulbs), rubber bands, and popsicle sticks. Awesome!
Spring- magpie swooping season. The joys of watching over head for roosting magpies, walking through the park on a beautiful spring day. Oh, how I hate their over protecting ways and thievery of hair!
LOL It is just me that calls them globes. Another one of my strange things.
Ginger wine is a must have. I can’t believe you don’t have any.
I will add an 8th thing about you: You wear those frames beautifully. They compliment your lovely face and look like they were made for you!
Huge big smile. Thanks Carrie. And you know how to wear a hat.
Well, thank you. And the ironic thing is, I never do. It’s just for my Gravatar. I’m about as unaccessorized as they come.
Congratulations on the awards!!!
I think that spider is adorable.
I love horror movies too.
Yikes, the spiders are out in full force this spring.
Congrats!!
Looks good on your blog.
I’ve never heard them called “light globes” anywhere in the states. Everyone I know says “light bulbs,” too.
Congratulations on the awards! They make a nice addition to the others on your sidebar.
I must be just me. I’ve invented a whole new term
I love what you did with the award. Wonderful share. Photos are fabulous.
Thanks very much Sabrina.
Great facts. I think the spider is gorgeous, but it does look like it could do dreadful things. I’m a little OCD, too and I think the doctor in you is a good enough excuse
I am not a doctor, so I have no excuse. I guess that just makes me slightly off-kilter.
Congrats on your awards.
Shudders. All those legs and fangs.
I think most of us are a little OCD in some areas but it’s so difficult to keep everything in order. i have a messy bathroom draw. I really must clean that.
It was worth the wait to hear these fascinating snippets about you.
Thanks Jacqui, that’s lovely.
Is that a picture of you with the cat? If so, is your skin really that perfect or have you been Photoshopped?
LOL Yes, that’s me and no it’s neither perfect or photoshopped. Don’t look too closely, I have all the usual female insecurities.
I can tell no moss grows under your feet. Interesting reveal and congratulations on your award.
I’m cleaning out the moss.
Congratulations!!!
So slow in my reading, sorry! Is that what a Funnel Web looks like!?! I thought they were tiny! Magpies? You are afraid? I know they are big bruisers but don’t think they would ever come near a human. I love them. I missed them so much when I was in Stornoway, had to settle for jackdaws up there…
They swoop in the spring, Katy, They are notorious for it around here, and various solutions have been implemented such as wearing a hat with eyes on the back.
